2010 Customer Offers and the Woman's US OPEN…

Spent a bit of last week watching the USGA Woman’s Open at Oakmont Country Club. Of course the CPS software was hard at work in the Pro-Shop all week. Performed without a hitch. Paula Cramer’s final 18 holes with the exception of one wayward shot were spectacular. Watching the girls interact with the crowds during the practice rounds was wonderful. They would go out of their way to talk to kids, sign autographs, chat, etc. Refreshing change from some of the attitude at the men’s events.

By the way… if you find your club hosting a big event. Typically the USGA or the PGA will point you toward a merchandising outsource company that will come in and run the merchandising for you. It is quite expensive. With CPS, you have the option of running this yourself. We have assisted a few times now (The US-Amateur and Woman’s Open at Oakmont, the Woman’s Open at Cherry Hills and Saucon Valley, the BMW Classic at Cog Hill, etc.). Some other notes: Microsoft recently announced that XP Pro SP 2 (XP Pro SP 3 is still supported) and Windows 2000 Server are no longer supported. For those of you on our older product lines (PSK 5.2 and older)… As Microsoft OS product is updated there is no assurance that our older products will continue to run on them. The PSK 5.2 product is 10 years old. Long past the typical lifecycle in today’s software world. If you have not done so already you need to think about budgeting for an upgrade to POS Express for 2011. There will come a time when we can no longer support the old products.
