2010 - Random Items...

"Control the Present, Predict the Future..."

Hello Everyone…

2010 Random Items

Some more miscellaneous items to catch up on.  I remember the day when all we supplied was a simple Point of Sale for Membership, Sales, Credit Books, and Inventory.  Now we have so many products that we lose sight of them.  All focused on Point of Sale but state-of-the-art features designed to automate your work and increase your return on investment.

Following are some new and old random features and items you may not be aware of…

New Range Servant interface option.  For years we have had the Pin-Code interface with Range Servant via the eRange Pin Pad.  After years of talking about it… we finally have a full real time interface with the Range Servant Select system. With this new interface you can now sale Range Servant buckets with a PIN or Bar Code, range Cards, RFID cards, and/or use Member Cards from CPS.  When the golfer uses his card, pin, barcode, etc. at the Range Servant machine, Range Servant will communicate with CPS to validate the card and once balls are dispensed will update the CPS database to debit the Range Transaction.  You can now have a fully integrated Range Machine on your CPS system!  Call us for details.

Gift Cards – The feds have just enacted a new law regarding Gift Cards.

Under the rules, consumers must have at least five years to use the gift cards before they expire. The Fed also says service or inactivity fees can be imposed only under certain conditions.

Such fees can be charged if the consumer hasn't used the card for at least a year, if the consumer is given clear disclosures about them and no more than one fee is charged a month.

The rules take effect Aug. 22.  Be sure to check your state laws as well…

Data Collect Kiosk – He with the biggest database wins!  If you are a public play facility, the Data Collect Kiosk is a MUST.  The power of the email marketing tools increases exponentially with the number of emails collected.  Public play facilities should have a minimum of 5,000 valid email addresses.  Closer to 10,000+ is ideal, 20,000+ for destination sites.  Our Data Collect Kiosk provides an easy way for you to capture this data as golfers come into your shop.  Don’t wait till the season is over!  Put this in place today.

Have any friends outside of the golf industry that need a Point of Sale?  Are you aware we have a ‘sister company’ that sells to a wide variety of non-golf related markets.  POS Prophet Systems (PPS).  Any referrals you send my way that turn into a sale for PPS will put $200 Cash in your pocket!  No boundaries… General retail, gift shops, tire stores, museums, restaurants, bars, mall kiosks, amusement parks… we have a solution to cover a wide variety of small and medium size business.
