I also spent a couple of days out in Pagosa Springs, Colorado recently on a consulting gig. Among several other things, we were able to identify an immediate savings of $150,000 per year. My consulting gigs are few and far between but I can be coerced (read - Bribed!!) into doing so at times if you're interested. Fyi... my consulting gigs are a package deal. It is me (computer systems and operations) and at least one other industry expert (typically Sales, Marketing and/or Finance). We are not cheap, but in this case it was quite the bargain when you compare what was charged vs. what was saved.
By the way, the best time to bring in an outside consultant is when you are doing reasonably well. If you wait until you are desperate (which most do), it is often too late. Parelli is doing quite well. We just helped them to move onto the next level -- much more fun than helping someone survive by amputating parts of the company or even liquidating all together.

Customer Analysis
Report 1: Customer DistributionThe Purpose of the Report: Customer relationship management is focused on identifying a facility's best customers to ensure that they are accorded service commensurate with their loyalty to that facility. At a golf course, 12% of the customers typically generate about 60% of the revenue. Here are some additional statistics regarding customer distribution.
A golf course has on average 8,000 golfers visit it per year. Of those golfers, 50% will play the facility just once, 13% will play 6 or more times, while the average customer will play 4 times, which represents 20% of his "wallet share" allocated to golf.
