Executive Reports Dashboard - Time to Bring in the Big Guns...

Two weeks ago I announced the new Executive Reports DashboardTM. Last week we dug into the details to demonstrate the insight you can gain by using the Executive Reports Dashboard.

For some of you, the Executive Reports will give you the information you need to improve your bottom line. It requires skills that are learned along the way; typically people with a background in finance, marketing and analytics, together with experience at multiple facilities, will get it.

For many others, your background is Sports Sciences, Hospitality, Professional Golfer, etc. So the obvious for many is... "Hey, from my vantage point at a table in my empty café, I can look out the window at an empty tee box and see the overstocked merchandise sitting on the shelves in my empty pro shop and tell you that I have problems. If you really want to help me, tell me what to do about it!"

Fair enough. I'll tell you exactly what to do. Bring in the BIG GUNS! Seriously, if that statement resonates with your reality, you need outside, objective and independent help. Some may think bringing in an outside consultant is a sign of weakness. I can tell you first hand that it is a sign of strength. I worked for years as a consultant myself (financial planning, market securities, mortgage banking, and sports broadcasting, as well as the golf industry, just to name a few) and yet I still have outside consultants look at my business from time to time.

We have teamed up with Golf Convergence and negotiated a discounted[1] reduced rate for Club Prophet customers who have implemented the Executive Reports Dashboard at their facility and are interested in outside help.

([1] Side Note: I scratched out the word discounted because by using the Executive Reports Module, you actually save Golf Convergence a significant amount of time. They designed and understand many of the Executive Reports and the Executive Reports Dashboard mines through and formats your data into benchmarks they understand. Somewhat like turning your Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement over to a CPA. This allows Golf Convergence to hit the ground running. You, in turn, are charged a reduced rate for the hours of work saved by Golf Convergence using the Executive Reports Dashboard! [Marketing Tip] - This is a perfect example of innovative packaging of your service without lessening the value of your product.)

The following is the Addendum to the CPS - Executive Reports Dashboard
User ManualWritten by Golf Convergence with an exclusive Offer for CPS Clients.

     Background

This help manual was designed to assist you in the execution of the queries contained within the Executive Reporting Series. These queries provide amazing insights as to revenue opportunities for your facility, including learning if the greens fee rates are set correctly, whether the depth and breadth of your merchandise is appropriate, who are the most important customers, if you are advertising in the appropriate mediums in the proper markets, etc.

Available as a downloadable white paper by clicking here, is a 6-page analysis of a client's data produced from the Executive Reports Dashboard. From this report, you can learn how one client of Club Prophet developed a list of easy-to-implement actionable items based on the insights gleaned from the Executive Reporting Series tool. We hope that this example provides you some ideas to implement at your golf course to maximize its revenue potential.

While one example may be beneficial, you may have a lagging doubt as to whether you have captured the full potential that this reporting module offers. For example, you might note a trend that appears to be an anomaly, but is actually consistent with current operating norms. How are you to know the difference? Actually, you can't. Only an individual that studies that data from multiple facilities can drawn accurate comparisons.

     Here are some additional tips.

First, it is important to understand how the benchmarks for your individual facility compare against local, state and national averages. By participating in Golf Datatech rounds/revenue/merchandise reporting, you can compare how your facility fares within your local market. POS Express is designed to automatically integrate with Golf Datatech. If you are not already participating, please contact Club Prophet Systems to sign up. The interface is automatic, anonymous, and CPS will pay you $100 to sign up and you will receive $10 per month from Golf Datatech. If you are a current CPS Point of Sale customer, Click Here to sign up for your $100 now!

Second, PGA Performance Trak provides 41 reports in which you can compare the financial and operational performance of your facility to Sectional, Regional and National averages.

Third, all of the above suggestions, though cost efficient, require the investment of your most precious resource - your time. Just like you retain a CPA to prepare your tax return or legal counsel to ferret out the complex issues of law, our third recommendation is that you retain an expert in the "business of golf" - Golf Convergence.

From assisting you on an hourly basis to interpret the data to developing a complete strategic plan, Golf Convergence, through an agreement developed by Club Prophet, will provide you the sage guidance needed to fully maximize revenue, increase your operational efficiency and enhance the customer service at your facility.
