Hello Everyone… |
2010 PGA Show Wrap-Up… | ||
|
|
The show was noticeably smaller in both physical space and legit attendees. I’m sure the PGA and Reed Expositions will put their typical spin on the numbers but it surprisingly was a very good show for CPS. We noticed that most attendees where within driving range (not the hitting ball range type) vs. those that traveled via air to get to Orlando. International travelers where noticeably down as where the west coast guys. We did get to see many old friends and made many new ones.

For those that did not make it to see us – a recap of some of the new items we have that were very well received. There are prior newsletters on most of these and I will link them along the way if you want more details.

Table-Side POS for F&B – This handheld wireless solution (an add-on to our full F&B module) brings ordering (with immediate remote printing for bar and cooks) to the table. This includes a credit card swipe (for member or credit cards) and a mobile printer for processing tableside. The printer hangs off the server’s belt. The handheld can programmed with an unlimited number of quick sale keys and menus. It is light, wireless, and speeds up service resulting in faster turn-over of tables in your F&B, resulting in increased revenue! |

Verifone MX870 – This Credit Card Terminal with Electronic Signature Capture and Pin Pad is a consumer facing device. It allows the customer to keep possession of their credit card at all times. A related benefit if the ability to split one sale to two merchant accounts! So for those of you that own the shop and the club owns the course – you can now ring up a shirt, balls, green fee, and cart in one sale, use one swipe of a credit card, and the software will split this out to two separate credit card transactions. Each merchant will have their funds deposited directly when the batch is settled. No more co-mingling of funds! The electronic signature is automatically printed on each receipt. |
