Starter Hut No-Show

A lost Tee Time is gone forever. When a group that booked a tee time doesn't show up (unless you are that "old course" across the pond with a line of tourists willing to shell out $300+ to take the time slot of a no-show), typically that tee time can never be resold.

Golf, being the gentleman's sport that it is, has more than its share of courteous folks that will cancel well in advance. But then there are those others that are simply unable or are too important to be bothered.

"Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice shame, on me..." Grandma Pile.

Let's look at how you can use the StarterHut No-Show feature to manage repeat offenders.

First, turn on the No-Show option:

1. Go To the Admin Screen
2. Click on Setting
3. Click on Option
4. Select your Site
5. Select your Course
6. Click on Booking Option
7. Check the Use No Show Warning Message option
8. Click the Update All button

Now, you need to track your No-Shows. If you have a person (or group) that does not show for a tee time and they did not cancel in advance:

1. Select the Cell or Foursome on the Tee Sheet
2. Click the No-Show button

Alternate method is to:
1. Right-Click on the Cell (select the entire row and right click on the time for the foursome)
2. Left-Click on No-Show.

Note that you will see the Day-at-a-Glance indicator X-Out for that slot.

Now, the next time Rudy NoShow makes a booking as follows:

You will be shown the following warning message:

This tells you how many times the player has been a No-Show. It is up to your individual policy on how to handle this (i.e., anywhere from asking him nicely to cancel in advance the next time to refusing his booking).

One more useful tip: When a given player has mended his ways and you need to take him off of the "Blacklist".

1. Go To Admin screen
2. Select Setting
3. Select Option
4. Select Reset No Show Counter
5. Select the Member to Reset
6. Click Reset No Show button.

You can also Reset the entire database. Some sites do this at the start of the year.
