In the last lesson (click here if you missed it) I showed you our latest version of the fully integrated Web Store and how easy it is to add products to your Web Store with a simple point and click of the mouse in POS Express v3. Today, I want to show you how to fine-tune your Web Store. I will show you the easy steps to do the following:

• Sort the Departments
• Sort the Items within a Department
• Change the Description for an Item
• Put an Item On-Sale
• Take an Item off of the Web Store

The amazing part of all of this is that you don't have to know a single thing about web programming. In fact, you never have to leave the POS Express v3 product and all of your changes will magically appear on your website as soon as you click the SAVE button.

Let's pick up where we left off last week. Below is the Main Menu of the Web Store. I have circled the Departments on the left side:

First thing I want to do is rearrange the Departments. You can put these in any order you like. For simplicity, I will arrange them alphabetically.

In the POS Express v3 product, click Tools > Options.

Click on Reference Tables > Web Store Departments and then Re-arrange the order.

By default, the Departments are sorted in the order that you added them. To move Golf Bags to the first position, highlight the line item and click the Up arrow until it is at the top. Note that when you open this form, it will default to the top level of your Web Store. You can use the Parent drop-down to select and re-order sub menus.

Below you will see the result of re-ordering Bags and Balls in the same manner.

As soon as you click the Close button, the changes are instantly reflected on your Web Store:

To sort Items within a Department, click on the Re-arrange the item order link.

This will open the Items Order screen.

Click the Select Department drop-down and select the Department you want to sort. Then select the line items and use the Up or Down arrows to sort as you wish:

Click the Close button and again the results are instantly reflected on your Web Store.

Now, let's dig a little deeper and click on the Titleist NXT Tour.

To clean up this page, let's make it clear to our shoppers that the price is per sleeve; and while we are in here, let's put the Titleist NXT Tour On-Sale.

From your Inventory screen in POS Express v3, do the following steps:

1) Select the Titleist NXT Tour product
2) Click the Online tab
3) Change the Description to indicate per sleeve.
4) Click the Sale checkbox.
5) Enter the Sale Price.
6) Click Save.

Here is the result:

Finally, to remove a product from your Web Store.

1) Find the product
2) Click off the Show Online checkbox
3) Click Save.
